I believe in previous seasons they only announced the award winners so I'm not surprised that initially announcing nominations has caused a little confusion especially if you read the article quickly.

Hmm a brand new team fights hard and wins a point and it's all gloom and doom. It's going to be a struggle but how about a bit of praise for the new guys most of whom probably didn't even know each other a few weeks ago?

But no match reports. Thought the club wanted to keep quiet on how bad the team are, how the manager didn't seem to know how to put ithings right and have thrown in the towel before the season has even started.
