Re: News of former players

Shandon Baptiste in Brentford's starting line-up at Molineux today. Have any other ex-Beavers made it to the Premier League? Drat! I obviously put a curse on him! Erm, what about the amazing Darren Powell! Imagine playing for Hampton, going on to play in the Premier League, coming all the way back ...

Re: New player from Sheffield Wednesday.

I think even non contract players would be paid whilst out injured unless it was a very long term injury or there was some specific agreement that your pay dropped if not playing, either through injury or loss of form. Some clubs reduce payments if players do not turn up to training without a valid...

Re: F A Cup 2Q ; Hold the Front Page

Nah no indignation mate and I said thank you. Why labour the point? Not all of us are in the know like you 😆 He likes to jump on things like that, when you had even thanked him for the correction. Yet maybe if the same person had spent 2 minutes doing research, the club wouldn't have had to replay ...

Re: New player from Sheffield Wednesday.

From Gary’s comments looks like two more loans to be announced tomorrow and he also said there were a couple more he was looking at today. He said we have 7 players injured and a suspension. Plug for the 12th man fund. This implies most of the squad are on contract and still get paid when not playi...

Re: Squad Numbers

Well, looks like the "squad numbers" have got silly already. Players using numbers other players already have worn.

Why can't the club just go back to proper 1 to 11, as the way numbers are being used at the moment is pointless, and looks like pub league

Re: F A Cup 2Q ; Hold the Front Page

Wonder which date this will be on. As Walton & Hersham currently have a home league game on the 18th. They also have a replay in their Cup match with the winner playing at home to Havant. Rule used to be that you can play the FA cup game across the weekend, so can be Friday night, or the Sunday...

Re: New Centenary Kit

Well, having seen it today for the first time, it's too dark at the back and could be hard to pick out under lights. As Roger says, shame it couldn't have been alternate halves at the back, ie opposite to the front. Oh well. Shame it "COULDN'T" have been alternate halves at the back. But ...

Re: New Centenary Kit

That's an interesting FA rule that you've discovered, Jamie. When did that come in? Didn't Man City have an all-black kit? That must have breached the rule. That said, it's disappointing when the back of a shirt doesn't match the front. When we wore red and blue halves in the 50s, 60s and 90s the b...

Re: New Centenary Kit

It's a cautious thumbs up from me...I like the 90's throwback element, and the white shorts as well. I do have reservations that its a bit dark though, and I'll always want to see more red on there than blue. A little bit of a shame that such a special season couldn't have had something slightly mo...

Re: New Centenary Kit

Brings back some great memories from the 90s era.

The return of WHITE SHORTS is long overdue, well done to those involved who selected that.

Shame it's a stock kit, but good that it has relevance to a period from the past.
