Players and clubs instead of taking out the lowest insurance package that covers statutory sick pay, should take out higher packages that covers full wages and medical bills.
I've never agreed with whip rounds etc to support players being injured for this reason.
I remember a Hampton player who had ...

Re: Beveree, NOT The Beveree
Well done to Billericay Town for highlighting this, I know little about their club but it makes me think its well run.
"The Beveree" annoys me as well, as does the more informal "The Bev". One of the reasons I was keen to take on running the forum when the previous admin stood down was that I ...

Re: Those Were The Days; 27th April 1987
Do you have the team sheets Les?
It would be interesting to see who played for Wimbledon.
Don't have the team sheets but from memory it was pretty much the entire first team squad from that time...John Fashanu, Dave Beasant, Glen Hodges, Alan Cork, Wally Downes etc...don't forget this was ...

Online Club shop
Online Club shop
I have gone onto the online club shop to buy and shirt and walk out jacket (great designs, best for years!)
But the description says pre orders to be fulfilled in September which I assume means from the start of the season, so unsure if the orders are still being fulfilled?

Re: Those Were The Days; 18th April 2009
I believe we tonked them four or five nil at Kingsmeadow stadium before they got promoted to the football league...AmI right here?
MK
Yes 4-0 I believe.
We scored 2 penalties I think.
That was when again we as fans were treated poorly by them, they made us enter around far side of ground ...

Re: Those Were The Days; 18th April 2009
I'm still not over it.
I didn't know about that pre match complaints about the ground, that makes me dislike them even more.
Them playing on when a player seriously injured was bad enough, but the fact the ball went out for a throw in and the referee allowed play to continue is absolutely ...

Re: Maidenhead (a)
My understanding is that the club would utilise the the sick pay provisions to mitigate the cost if it was clear that the player was unfit long term. It seem self evident that Ince has not been fit to play for all but a couple of weeks of the season but I have no idea what period of time sick pay ...

Re: Maidenhead (a)
In the National League, contract cancellation generally requires "just cause" or mutual agreement. As of the latest standard contract updates from the FA (effective July 2023), several specific grounds allow either a player or a club to terminate an employment relationship.

Re: Other NLS News
The players in Baller League breach the standard player contract template most clubs use from the National League.
Although it doesn't specify Baller League it covers all other football.
What would be interesting is if Baller League is actually FA affiliated or not, as when I worked for Powerleague ...

Re: Dagenham (a)
The game will be broadcast live on KSI’s youtube channel for free. https://daggers.co.uk/ksi-to-stream-dagenham-redbridge-match-live-for-free-on-youtube-in-landmark-first/
How does this work in line with the National League's terms of how games are broadcast?
Also surely breaches the "blackout ...
