Re: Those Were The Days; 28th November 2000

Asamoah was terrific, a really.tough and skilful player. Steve Cordery, manager at the time, for some reason didn't see it and only used him very sparingly. In fairness however, we did have Griffiths and Maskell up front, two of Hampton's all time greats...

Re: Chairman’s Update - November 2025

Good to have some kind of update, but come on, we haven't won since August. We are almost in December, I personally think it is worth being a bit more concerned. I do feel quite proud that we've never really been a sacking kind of club, but I doubt there is any other club in the pyramid that is as ...

Interesting.
Personally I wouldn't read too much into that. Yet. Sometimes this season the social media has appeared the next day, especially after an evening game.

Re: Tonbridge (H)

Is Chic Botley still available?

Botley...great example of a case in point. Pretty good in.his first spell, made some astute signings and made us quite a force to be reckoned with in the Isthmian League. Then our Glorious Leader/Chairman decided he'd be good for a return to steady the ship after ...

Re: Tonbridge (H)

We will be relegated by January unless something changes. Dowson should be under consideration. He would change the mentality and would know quickly which players can get us out the mess and those who can't and would act accordingly.

They say never go back, lightning never strikes twice etc. I ...

He's done almost nothing of note in the last 2 or 3 years.

Re: Tonbridge (H)

Absolutely dreadful, and Tonbridge were the epitome of very ordinary.
Not heard or witnessed the Bev quite so quiet and resigned in a long time either. Yep...sorry but something needs to be done and quickly.

Re: Maidenhead United; Fixture change

Went on Maidehead's site to read up on Dev's departure. They have us as hosting Maidenhead on Saturday 13th in a fixture brought forward from 30th December. Looked on our site, it's on there as well. Would be nice if someone invited Dev along to the game.

True but if he's got any sense he'll be ...

Re: Former rivals

Although we might pass each other in league placings, hopefully not, Walton & Hersham could very much come into the mix in the coming years.

Our current stint in the NLS I think our nearest teams have been Slough and Dorking. At least the first time we had Staines and Wimbledon around.

Re: Former rivals

Going back even further you have the likes of Feltham who were regular opponents in the 80's and early 90's. Remember those cold, cold visits to the Arena, usually on Boxing Day! Met Police, though local, have no fanbase to interact with and currently find themselves at Step 4 as well.

Local ...

Former rivals

Let's have a break from discussing our somewhat depressing league form and have a think about any historical local rivals. Do we even still have any? It's a sobering thought and might even give us something to keep our current form in perspective.

Kingstonian...sinking into irrelevance ...
