Re: Brentford B friendly.

Yes, a very decent game but with chances somewhat few and far between. It was only really when Brentford put almost an entirely different side out midway through the second half that they stepped it up a gear. As others have said, good display from us with some very solid individual performances.

Re: FA CUP

Don't think we have ever played them, no. We will definitely be favourites so we need to avoid playing like we did in the first half on Saturday!

Re: FA Cup Walton Casuals

From what I could ascertain it was a council decision. The stadium is owned by Elmbridge and on Friday they apprently contacted the club and insisted on segregation as they were predicting a 1,000 crowd! Not sure where this info came from. Total waste of resources. Crowd was 658. Compliments to the...

Re: FA Cup Walton Casuals

Anyone really know anything about why we had to use seperate entrances (with bag searches thrown in) and why there was segregation? I've been there as a neutral before and there were no restrictions at all. It just all seemed really over the top and unnecessary. Is this a new FA competition directiv...

Re: FA Cup Walton Casuals

Well I think the phrase "good win" is overstating it somewhat. With better finishing, Casuals would have been ahead at half time and were unlucky with a header later on. Not at our best today, but a win is a win and all that...

Terrific win against a good side. As poor as we were last week we were a different side today. All the loanees fitted in well and and how great to see us taking our chances. Made a decent side look ordinary at times. Well done all.

Re: New player from Sheffield Wednesday.

Sounds like he's been of interest to a few other clubs in the last few months so hopefully he's got the quality we need. According to my quick bit of research he's made one first team appearance for the Owls.

Re: Tonbridge away on Saturday.

I think recent results might now have put the Eastbourne game into some kind of context...they had more than one player absent due to Covid and were down to ten men in the first half. Yes we passed the ball around well and took our chances but we definitely had a lot of things go our way that day.

Re: Tonbridge away on Saturday.

Well I normally try to be positive these days but even bearing in mind our injury list that was a really poor performance against a side who must be one of the favourites for the drop. Plus, the time wasting at the end was embarrassing and quite frankly we only got what we deserved.
One to forget.

Re: Maidstone home today

As was said a tough game, and although we looked like we were hanging on a bit at times we could also have nicked it on a couple of occasions. Ref was weak today I thought.

Re: Havant & Waterlooville

Just watched Gary's interview after the game, now posted via twitter. Great to have a manager who is so pragmatic, accurate and honest in his post match assessments.
