The huge crowd at Maidstone makes a big difference and could be a factor. I'm sure they influenced a few 50/50 refereeing decisions against us on Saturday. However, Aveley could well go there and spring a surprise. They are a decent side and have hit form at the right time. Maidstone are pretty good...

Even during the unbeaten run, some of the actual football wasn't great. Results were good so people tolerated it but we really rode our luck at times.

Only 2 good things about today...the fact that we scored at all and the quickest ever journey home from Maidstone. OK, we initially responded well to a disastrous start today, and two of the home side's goals were terrific but in truth, I think a result like this has been on the cards for a few week...
