Re: New pitch floodlights etc.

Let's hope Louis's fortnightly newsletter provides some answers tomorrow. Though, if the owners had any regard for supporters, they would have provided updates on the normal club website. If there's a delay, fair enough, I think supporters could understand that provided they were kept in the loop bu...

Re: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24

Bishop's Strortford could be a possibility, then. Same level but different league. Or didn't we always play some "home" PSFs at Bedfont?

Re: New pitch floodlights etc.

The lack of activity and the lack of news from the board is very concerning though not surprising.

Re: New season

Any news on the installation of the new pitch? Has it started yet or when is it due to start?

Re: Pre-Season Friendlies 2023/24

If the new pitch is not ready, surely we'd do what Tonbridge did at the start of this last season and switch any home fixtures to become away matches with the return at home later in the season,

Re: Ron King RIP A Hampton Legend

There can't be many, if any, of the Hampton team of the mid-50s that are still alive. I know that Ernie Thomson, Ivor Griffin, Alan Duddy, Ted Brown, Derek Manning, Denny Cooper, Syd Harrison and Joe Cooper have all passed on. Does anyone know if Jake Cooper is still with us? I may be wrong but I se...

Re: Chippenham away.

Wish I shared Josh's and LE's confidence that we are safe. If anything, today's results have made our safety slightly less certain than it seemed before. And, if Weymouth win on Saturday, then squeaky bum time could kick in.

Re: Taunton at home

Yeah new lights and pitch before next season is the plan :) Hopefully no delays as we could end up with a string of away games at the beginning of the season. It's a little puzzling why the community game is not being played until 7 May, thereby reducing the time available for pitch and floodlight ...

Re: Vol 13 No 19 Camp Griffis

Thanks for that reminder, Les. My family had connections with the US camp in the late 40's and early 50's. My sister and her then boyfriend (later husband) used to babysit for one of the top brass and his wife who were billetted out to a house in Priory Road. That started a Transatlantic friendship ...

Re: Eastbourne (H)

Only five messages on here after an improved performance and great win, yet our drubbing at Ebbsfleet produced 30 messages and the Slough defeat 36 messages. And nothing from LE or SS. I do hope they've not defected to Rectory Meadow.

Re: Those Were The Days; 19th February 2011

Whenever I see these team line-ups from the past, there always seems to be one player I've no recollection of. You'd have thought I'd remember a name like Bai Lette-Jallow but he rings no bells. The other surprising thing about this line-up is that it's almost entirely the same people that got to th...

Re: Mel Gwinnett

Few further questions spring to mind.. 1) I think it was said at the the Q&A but who is the backer (some FTSE100 financial doyen) and is it a single individual or a few? 2) are the brothers shareholders or just employed to administer the club? 3) would be interesting to know what they are being...
