Re: Review of the Season

For me Donaldson is a good left back but an ineffective wide midfield player as he has no real pace or creativity and carries no attacking threat. Which means we have 3 good left backs in Donaldson, Pitblado and Wishart. This is one of the clear imbalances in the squad. For me Wishart is easily the ...

Re: St Albans City away

I’m not sure leaving out Donaldson makes much difference. To my mind he just doesn’t carry a threat out wide, no pace & can’t beat a man. Mel has been cautious in his wide players by playing Donaldson and Gray out wide, notwithstanding they are decent players. For a while they have also looked j...

Re: St Albans City away

Don’t carry a threat out wide, it has been evident all season. We have two decent forwards but don’t create many clear chances for them. This team is very solid and works hard and has done very well thid season but in truth not really a promotion winning side. That said we might still nick a play of...

Re: Heard on the Grapevine........

Who wants to see us play on a plastic pitch, Yes maybe when it was a mudheap but now our surface is great. Just wish we’d pass the ball more instead of lumping it.

Re: Bath here on Tuesday

Regardless of making the play offs,, results wise, this season has exceeded everyone's expectations. Performance wise I think it has been average at best as we are quite a dull team to watch. This is certainly the feedback given to me when I have taken friends along. Our lack of creativity in the mi...

Re: Dean Inman

It will be a mistake to play next season only those who can train mornings/ full time. We will virtually have a team of youngsters released from pro clubs. Wishart is a great example. He is one of the most accomplished players at the club and was having a great season then all of a sudden he falls o...

Re: Club Announcement 11 April 24

Would prefer to continue to play on grass, the pitch is fantastic. It’s pity we play mainly hoof ball these days. If the club has genuinely aspirations for the EFL then enduring the. cost of a plastic pitch makes no sense whatsoever.

Re: Club Announcement 11 April 24

My read on it is after watching tuesday night the current investors are thinking “no thanks”. Presumably they have deep pockets but not deep enough for the cost of reaching the EFL. After all new investors would dilute current holdings so by advertising they are not bothered about this. It is indeed...

Re: Bath here on Tuesday

Agree re the comments on the midfield but really there is no one other than shane dunne to step in.. he played well btw when he came on on tuesday. Crying out for a solid ball winner in the Craig Dundass mould, never saw him lose a header or a 50/50, he was guaranteed to get you up the pitch. Great ...
