Re: Chesham (home)

I think Dowse said recently he needed two out of three signings to work. Finding good players at this time of the season is never easy unless you are prepared to pay transfer fees and bigger wages to attract the best individuals. Personally, I would have hoped for a bit more from Kiernan, Ashford ...

Re: Chesham (home)

After Saturday, despite the defeat, tonight felt like a retrograde step. We lacked quality in the final third and couldn’t break down a well organised Chesham defence. We lack pace going forward and the final ball was often poor. Could have played a couple of hours more without a goal.No corners ...

Re: Dorking (h) - 17/01/26

I do think that if that was Dorking defending, Massey would have brought down the attacker but instead was too easily beaten. It was a good counter attack but we had opportunities to close it down.

Re: Dorking (h) - 17/01/26

FT 0-2. Once again giving away that first goal proved decisive. We were probably on top in a game of very few chances when Dorking got their first from a scramble from a corner. But it was symptomatic of where we need to improve having given the ball away in midfield leading to the corner in the first ...

Re: 25/26 Squad

Chelmsford reputedly have the third highest budget in the league so are significantly underperforming. Clark seems hardly to have played in the last couple of months except for county cups so may have been injured or just out of favour. 18 appearances for Chelmsford, one goal. Let see how he goes ...

Re: 25/26 Squad

He had a couple of decent games but no goals during his spell. With Sam Ashford now on board we have cover.

Re: Torquay

All four goals good strikes from range but perhaps should have got closer to prevent the shot. If the highlights were in any way representative Torquay could easily have hade a few more.

Torquay

Losing 4-1 after taking an early lead. Not a game where points expected but quite a heavy defeat.

Re: Enfield Town (A)

Probably works to Dowse's advantage giving him more time to work the new players into his way of playing and maybe bring in further recruits.
