Would full-time training need more £ playing budget? My understanding is that is the next step to a full time squad, attracting younger players released out of the pro ranks who are looking to get back into the pro teams. You have to pay enough to be most of a living wage but maybe younger players ...

It’s a guess but would expect he has just decided to move on to pastures new. Any manager will need a coach and will work within whatever budget is agreed.
