Agree that Desbois and Fernandez would be high on most fans’ retention list. They have been star performers for Beavers throughout the season. What we can’t rule out is that other clubs will have noticed this and they could be subject to possible transfer to higher placed clubs.

Back to Deano - agree it was a shame he didn’t even get on the bench for a “swan song” or perhaps an on pitch introduction/thank you in the same way as Alan Julian.

I thought we had it “ in the bag” early on with Seymour and Bloomfield back in harness but, as stated, we faded badly and even the few good attacks in the second half resulted in some wayward shooting. I reckon around a third of Friday’s crowd were probably under 10s drawn by the Easter festivities .
