Re: Review of the Season
As I said in my original piece, 9th would be fine if we had built momentum towards it with the feeling that steady improvement would be carried into next season. But the last 10 games have been dire and begs the question about several players and tactics. Not sure I would be very confident that a si...

Re: Review of the Season
A string of poor results cost us the playoff place. Seems a bit unfair to blame it on the inexperience of some players. Mel picks the team at the end of the day. It would be interesting to compare the tactics from when we were on the good run to what they were come the end of the season. In the Oct...

Re: Review of the Season
Mel’s comments now up. Interesting that some of the younger players already signed for next season plus expecting two or three new faces. Personally I think it needs a lot more than two or three otherwise we are going to struggle. Message seems to be that young players are naive at times and that wi...

Re: Review of the Season
Has any post match interview with Mel been posted anywhere yet? I haven't seen one.... What can he say? I would hope there would be some analysis of why form went off a cliff at the vital point in the season. Supporters don’t get to see what goes on behind the scenes so may not appreciate any valid...

Re: Review of the Season
At some point when the dust has settled we’ll get to hear their assessment of the season and what their plans and ambitions are for the squad. As ever it will come down to money and ability to recruit well. No doubt our better players will be targeted and attracted elsewhere and we will do the same ...

Review of the Season
Review of the Season – Season of Progress? Football can be a cruel sport but the pain Hampton are feeling this evening after missing out on the play offs by one point feels largely self-inflicted. Just when it mattered most, the team’s form cratered gaining a measly 9 points from their last 10 games...

Re: Maidstone away.
Truly awful end to the season and yes we blew the play offs when was always in our hands. Will be interesting to see how Mel explains such a total collapse in form.

Re: St Albans City away
Mel’s comments now online. Seems like a few injury issues for Maidstone. Put in the best players and see what they can do to get the point.

Re: St Albans City away
I guess some of the player absences are because Mel doesn't see them as part of the future plan (Inman, Wishart, Whittingham, Gibson-Hammond) but I think they would have made us more competitive last night and had they helped us to get the much needed point then what's not to like? Did we really put...
