Also have to factor in that this was a point gained with the likes of JT, Fernandez, Seymour and Hunt missing. I don't think it's a coincidence that our best run came when Hunt was fully fit. He adds a nice balance in to the midfield.

It was a good point to take at the end of the day.

Rod Stringer, ex of Braintree, Chelmsford and Bishop's Stortford appointed the Welling manager today.

Apparently he has been in and around the club for the past couple of weeks so will know more about the players at his disposal than a completely fresh face.

It's a good draw. At home to a lower ranked side. With the Robbie Savage element thrown in as well. They get very good attendances at home so hopefully will have a decent travelling support. They thumped Dorking Wanderers 5-0 in the last round so will be a good side.

This time tomorrow those not already in the North-East will be somewhere on the M1 on route! Hopefully this won't be a repeat of our last trip to the area when we got a 6-0 humbling courtesy of Gateshead.
