Re: New pitch floodlights etc.

If I remember rightly we had one season in the early/mid eighties when we had to play all our friendlies away and possibly our first few league games too due to the pitch having some kind of overhaul. I know it stayed grass though! 1982 possibly? I'm sure Les or Tony might remember this.

Re: New pitch floodlights etc.

It is beginning to look like we will have to play away for the start of the season with its financial ramifications. I assumed we were doing that anyway? It was certainly being mentioned at the last couple of home games. Does all seem a bit poor though. By the way, I don't blame Louis for not havin...

I wonder why he seems to be stuck at the level below us? Good player, not that I'd particularly want him back though...

Yep, probably not a major surprise but I'm happy with this. I thought he got better and better once fit.

Re: New season

Things are looking very promising with these imaginative signings. I honestly don't remember a summer like this since the Devonshire days.

Re: New season

There has been mixed comments on the new players thus far. I don’t think we will be able to get a balanced view until the recruitment is finished. The standard of the strikers, defender and possibly midfield may well be of a higher level , don’t forget retained list are not all out. It's certainly ...

Re: New season

The club have posted a GIF on twitter with Mason on it, could it be Mason Bloomfield from Farnborough, scored double digits goals this season and was also at Barnet recently. If it is him would be a great signing GIF? Explain please, for the less gifted techies out there..especially me! I believe t...

Re: NLS Allocation 2023/24

I saw some interesting mileage calculations the other day, on the back of the Bishop's Stortford issue, which actually showed that Hemel Hempstead Town would travel less miles in the NLN than either Bishop's Stortford or Braintree Town (due to HH's proximity to the M1). I wonder why no-one is quest...

They were absolutely shocking defensively in the first half. The insistence on trying to play out from the back was their undoing.
