White socks at home last night,
I imagine because Braintree turned up with blue socks, so Hampton changed. This is why it's good to have 3 options.
But why did Braintree turn up with blue socks as surely they were told Hampton's home colours.

Re: Middlesex Senior Cup 2023-24
QPR, Leyton Orient, AFC Wimbledon and Charlton play in the London Senior Cup which is run by the London FA, Brentford also enter a team in that competition. Welling, Dartford, Bromley, Met Police, Hendon and Wingate also participate in it despite also playing in the Kent, Surrey or Middlesex ones a...

Re: Middlesex Senior Cup 2023-24
I went to Stourbridge v Aston Villa last season or the season before. Over 2,000 fans so a big bumper pay day for the club. Young Villa team, but had some decent names, 16 year old centre half who I think Villa paid nearly £1m for, and some others who have been around the first team. Last season I w...

You do have to enter the county cup, it's part of the FA affiliation.
I know the big pro clubs in Birmingham only started again in recent seasons as good work from the county FA to encourage them of the benefits,
Previously they paid a fee to not compete, think someone told me it was about £5,000.

Re: Middlesex Senior Cup 2023-24
I didn't go, but when I saw the teamsheets, I was surprised by the calibre of player in Rayners Lane's squad. Buchanan, Robinson, Keita, Clayton, Casey, Minhas, Jalloh... all of those players have been at various Step Three clubs in the last 18 months and doing pretty well at that level as well. Th...

Re: Middlesex Senior Cup 2023-24
It's a hard one to get the right balance for matches like this when the league is a priority with where the club currently sit. But I would have expected maybe a couple of first teamers who haven't been starting to get some decent minutes. The team seems to have been very young, with the u18s being ...

Re: Beavers Trust AGM
Firstly, thank you to everyone who voted for me. It would have been nice for candidates to speak at the meeting, as I think that is far better than putting across a written statement, and gives a better feel for people. I didn't expect as many people to stand, but glad they did. I am really happy to...

Re: St Albans here on Tuesday.
If someone from the club is reading this thread - you may wish to update the "next home fixture" sign on Station Road. It is still showing Maidstone and we may be losing a few casual fans tonight who are unaware that we are home again. The sign today Wednesday afternoon is still advertisi...

Re: Independent Regulator for Football
I agree. The National "League" comprises of 3 divisions. It should cover all or none of them.BeaverWatcher wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 10:21 am Would be much better if it covered the entire National League as seems very strange to have a league run by the same people and same rules applied aside from this legislation.

I thought this was odd too. Would have been good to see how people come across.

That's a great idea, well done!

Yeah it's not quite like the time I heard of a player travelling to the incorrect Ashford Town.
