Re: Those Were The Days; 5th November 1985
There are some superb players in our line up there and yet we never had much in the way of success during those years. It's hard to pinpoint the reasons why really, with players of Dicko, Wilson, Marshall, Hollands, Rogers and O'Connell's calibre.

Re: Dover away on Saturday.
Well a very hard fought three points in often torrential rain, and quite honestly we couldn't have complained if it had only been one or even none. Dover are better than their league position suggests but their star player must surely be their groudsman for keeping the game on. We are third!

Just got in the ground...it is absolutely slinging it down here. I'll be stunned if we get the full 90 mins.

Re: Dover away on Saturday.
Well they've just tweeted that they did a "thorough pitch inspection" at 1.00 and are doing another one in half hour, so presumably about now. We're sat in a pub about 4 miles away...

Re: Torquay Home Saturday
Great result. Shows we can play crisp, passing football and defend against an onslaught if required. Just what's needed for a playoff campaign...

Well we're near enough to the railway, so how about Lokomotive Hampton?RogerSW wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 4:12 pm As part of our growing militarisation, CSKA Hampton would work.

Re: Club Colours
We should bin the blue strip now. It's always going to clash with the Referee and it's just not a Hampton kit.

I much prefer seeing us in red rather than that horrible dark blue kit.

Re: Havant away
Havant are clearly a side going through a transitional stage at the moment, so not a bad time to play them. I expected a bit more of the new manager bounce from them. We are so much better when we don't just lump the ball forward. Overall, a very important win, and it was streets ahead of last week'...
