Re: Those Were the Days; 2nd May 1987

Was this the game that, given how geographically close both clubs were, rather ludicrously took place at the old Enfield ground? If it was, I couldn't understand why we didn't play the excellent Paul Duncalf that day. Good player, who didn't get a fair crack of the whip.

Re: Press article !

Interesting. Some might see some of the points they make as quite contentious.

Re: Those Were The Days; 29th April 1995

This was presumably under Chick Botley's management? I remember us often being quite hard to beat at that time but not always capable of finishing other teams off ruthlessly enough. Always looked quite well organised though, Chesh would have seen to that in midfield.

Re: New season

Time will tell...I would have wanted all these too but, as others have said, the real recruitment starts here.

Re: McCann new Billericay manager

I listened to his first online interview last night, and it gave the impression that Billericay approached him. Clearly his stock must still be quite high.

Re: Relegation issues settled?

Got to hand it to Concorde they battled so hard to even still be in contention last night, but it just wasn't to be. Sounds like they gave it their best shot against Havant, who are out of form but clearly still have some very good players.

Re: Walton & Hersham v Hanworth Villa

Genuinely think this could go either way, although the home advantage might count for a lot as Walton have been pulling the crowds in recently.

Re: Relegation issues settled?

Nope, Dulwich can go as far as I'm concerned. Odd bunch of supporters who just go there for the craft beer and show minimal interest in the game. Pain in the neck busy type of journey over there as the traffic's always awful. No thanks. Concorde and/or Dover can join them too! Agree with this, alwa...

Re: Welling away

Another away game I'm thankful I didn't bother with. I'll be there for the last home game on Sat but the end of the season can't come quick enough really can it? Agreed. Looking forward to a relaxing May/June following some other pursuits in life and recharging the batteries. Think everyone needs i...
