Re: Welling away
Another away game I'm thankful I didn't bother with. I'll be there for the last home game on Sat but the end of the season can't come quick enough really can it?

Re: New season
Having seen the lad at Walton who scored all the goals a couple of times this side of Christmas, (Simon?) I don't think he's the answer either and could be another Minhas.

Re: New season
Well given that Gray and Donaldson have already re-signed, we can assume that they're not too bothered...

Re: New season
For me (and some might not agree) Barzey is never fit enough, and on the rare ocassions he does play, although he shows flashes of inspiration there is rarely any significant end product. I might be inclined to give him a pre-season but no more than that, certainly not a contract.

Re: Concord away
Looks like Walton have blown it at the last minute drawing 2-2 and handing Basingstoke the championship. They certainly did. Although a decent side this was a slightly nervy performance by them and 2-2 was probably a fair result. Nice little ground at Thatcham, in a scenic area, but the afternoon w...

Re: Concord away
Us losing over there has been on the cards all week. When Mel said he'd be playing lots of fringe players that made my mind up not to go. We decided to watch Walton try and win their league away to Thatcham. If we can't even be bothered to show the other relegation candidates the respect of playing ...

Wow I don't ever remember things being as bad as a crowd of 52 for a league game! Some very good players in that side too.

Re: I was thinking about......
I think my stance would be that if the word "Hampton" isn't used in some way then it's a different club. Hampton is what I started supporting all those years ago.

Re: I was thinking about......
That's really upsetting to read, from someone I know started going just a couple of years before I did.
On a slight side issue, does anyone think there are serious plans to change the name of the club?

Re: I was thinking about......
First of all it is a massive shame that so many people are no longer involved. Beveree was known for it's friendliness and its nice people. The atmosphere is different at home games at the moment. Or is it? It is to me and I suspect other long term people, but newer fans probably won't even be aware...

Jamie is right, that's a very uncharacteristically unbalanced side, usually Dev's teams had a rock solid spine to them, which ultimately has always been the reason for his successes wherever he's been.

Re: Player of the season
He's played for clubs in League 2 and the National League before and always ended up being deemed surplus to requirements. Wonder why that was? He's more than good enough.HamptonMad wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 11:34 am Gray for me. Makes it look easy. Should be playing in National league.
