Re: Chippenham away.
I only THINK we're safe...but it would take such an unlikely set of results to see us go down (Cheshunt/Weymouth winning every game and us losing all of our last 4) that if it happened then quite frankly we'd deserve it and the management should go. I think we're a better side than we were and will ...

Re: Chippenham away.
We weren't at all bad in the first half, coping with the difficult conditions admirably and carving out some decent moves here and there. But about the second half, well, the less said the better, and Chippenham are a very ordinary side indeed. Ah well, I think we can relax a bit...

Re: Those Were The Days; 5th April 1999
Some very good players in that lineup. And I'm pretty sure we had three on loan from WBA...think Jamie McWilliams might have been one, not sure of the other's name. The much travelled Martin Buglione had been a very good player in his time but he was past his best by the time he joined us. Just a fe...

Re: Those Were The Days; 30th March 1993
An odd side, that one. Some players who should really have been playing higher mixed with, well, errr, others!
Had no idea about Lee Rabbetts, a very good player indeed at that age. RIP.

Re: Taunton at home
Good post match interview with Mel. Thought the additional movement from midfield was a good tactic especially given the lack of recognised forwards. We did look good when me moved the ball around but Taunton also looked dangerous until they went down to 10. It was mentioned via the PA that last ni...

Re: Taunton at home
Been chucking it down over in Thames Ditton but it has stopped now...game must be in doubt though. Someone go over to the ground sharpish with a watering can, we could do with this being rescheduled for when our forwards are back!

Re: Farnborough here on Saturday.
Absolutely zero goal threat today. Never looked remotely like scoring at any time. Daniel Rowe started, who I honestly thought might have been discarded already but he is clearly a player from the division below. Another previously unnanounced signing (unless I missed it) who has apparently been loa...

Re: First Team Analyst
Haven't Brentford done something like this for a few years now, i.e. only signing players whose stats immediately match exactly their own statistical requirements? It's certainly worked for them but you would imagine it being much more difficult to achieve with non-league players where a bad day at ...

Re: Run in
We went there in the FA Trophy just a handful of years ago. Bigger ground for sure, if a bit characterless. We were comprehensivly outclassed on the day though.BevereeMaster wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 12:17 pm I’m hoping Yeovil get relegated, now that would be a nice ground to visit.

Re: Dover away on Saturday.
Couldn't go today due to illness but that is a great result. Really looking like safety is within our grasp now. Like others have said, it's good use of tactics, a bit of confidence and good use of a squad. Starting to get the feeling that next season could be quite exciting... My Lord. Man flu is ...
