Re: Dover away on Saturday.
Couldn't go today due to illness but that is a great result. Really looking like safety is within our grasp now. Like others have said, it's good use of tactics, a bit of confidence and good use of a squad. Starting to get the feeling that next season could be quite exciting...

Re: Run in
I don't dislike any club in our league but if I had to make a choice it would come down to travelling distance and crowds. I wouldn't want to lose Dulwich's travelling support. I guess we wouldn't miss Hungerford or Concord. Taunton purely for the distance. Concord would be no major loss but Hunger...

Re: Run in
Would Montserrat really want to take a punt on Barzey? He's not exactly proved his fitness...

Re: Cheshunt home on Tuesday
Serves Cheshunt right for playing for a point for most of the second half. Thought we battled hard and just about deserved it. Well done to all.

Re: Penalties
I make it 8 points ( +2 Bath 1-1, Wood missed; Worthing +3, 0-0, Vincent missed; Tonbridge 0-1 +3, Clifton and Wishart missed). That would have put us 14th on 46 points. The game doesn't stop if they score the penalty. Nothing to say it would then be the final score. Olympic level standard of pedan...

Re: Penalties
I see that Farnborough have a similar problem to us with only four out of 12 pens scored this season. If we get one tonight against Cheshunt who takes it? Me!!!! Seriously Alan Julian - why not? As long as he can convert its not a problem, you see goalkeepers are really great in deadball situ...

Re: Chelmsford home on Saturday.
On what we have seen Mel is a massive step up on Gary . He has improved the confidence of the players and listening to him from the touchline he is more thoughtful, considered and has a much better game plan as to how we should play. To be fair to Gary he had a spell playing great football during t...

Re: Taunton away Tuesday.
I know Barzey can be a really exciting player at times but his ongoing injury issues have made him just too unreliable. What's the problem? Brought back too quickly? New injuries every time? He's on a contract isn't he...anyone know for how long? He must surely be in doubt as one we'd want to keep o...

Re: Cashless apparently
I'm genuinely not trying to stir up an argument here but I'm curious...what are the main issues people have with being asked to pay by card? OK, I guess there may be a small handful of very old people who don't want to or can't pay by card (although I'd be interested to see how they cope with day to...

Re: Chelmsford home on Saturday.
One of the things I've been most impressed with regarding Mel is his willingness to make changes at half time and change tactics. I genuinely can't remember the last time we had a manager who did this. It's a really dynamic approach and is a refreshing change from those who refuse to change their ri...

Re: Taunton away Tuesday.
What a fantastic result, made even more significant by results around us in the table last night. Listened to the commentary, and very good it was too, much more professional sounding these days. Well done.

Re: Those Were The Days; 6th March 1982
I thought it was most league games not just cup games but it's 40 years ago so definitely can't be certain We were in loads of fairly minor cups though... London Senior, Middx Snr, Middx Charity, Southern Combination Cup, League Cup, Loctite Trophy (or whoever the sponsor was that season) I'm sure ...
