THOSE WERE THE DAYS
22nd March 2017
National (Vanarama) League (South)
Whitehawk 1 HRBFC 3 (Kamara 2, Mullings) Att; 212

Sam Howes; Tom Jelley, Josh Casey (Michael Kamara, 34’), Sam Gallagher, Kieran Murphy, Nathan Collier, Brendan Kiernan, Leon Solomon, Shamir Mullings, Harold Odametey, Duncan Culley (Christian Jolley, 83’).
Unused Subs; Billy Bishop (Gk), Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick, Jay Gasson.

Hampton continued on their recent good run with a comfortable win on a cold afternoon on the Sussex coast. The only downside was an ankle injury to Casey after just over half hour, which brought on Collier who would go on to have quite a say in the destination of the points. By the end of the first half, Hampton were 2-0 up, both goals scored by the substitute, Kamara. Odametey had a cross-come-shot which was tipped over the crossbar by Hawks keeper Lucas Covolan, from the resulting corner Kamara was able to bundle the ball in at the far post. Then, deep into four minutes of added time, from another corner, Kamara scored from fifteen yards. On the hour mark Kamara was unlucky not to notch a hat-trick, but his header was just wide. The third goal soon came, the industrious Kiernan chasing the ball into the corner before lofting in a cross that was met by Mullings and a powerful header. Hawks had a brief glimmer of hope when Danny Mills headed past Howes, but that was as good as it got for the home side.
