THOSE WERE THE DAYS
15th April 2014
Isthmian (Ryman) League Premier Division
HRBFC 4 (Moone 3,1p, Tarpey) Bognor Regis Town 3 Att; 339

Rodney Chiweshe; Harry Mills, George Wells, Tom Hickey, Darren Powell, Justyn Roberts, Joe Turner (Luke Wanadio, 78’), Ben Osman (Joe Hicks, 87’), Dave Tarpey (Jack Barton, 83’), Charlie Moone, Jamie Simmonds.
Unused subs; Luke Edgecombe (GK), Stuart Lake

Seven goals shared between the two sides entertained the crowd on the last midweek league game of the season at Beveree. Tarpey almost scored after just two minutes but his effort was saved by Grant Smith, however just seconds later, Smith could do nothing about the striker’s twenty-five yarder. Simmonds and Tarpey combined to set up a chance for Moone to make 2-0 just before half-time. At half-time Bognor made a couple of changes to their line-up which led to Scott Chamberlain pulling a goal back. With twenty-five minutes to go, Tarpey was bundled over, Moone efficiently putting the penalty away. In the 73rd minute, after a couple of speculative efforts, Moone seized on a loose pass and clipped the ball over Smith to put Hampton 4-1 ahead and seemingly cruising. Bognor, though, had other ideas. Chamberlain scored his second in the 78th minute before Sammy Igoe scored deep in injury time. The result meant that Wealdstone took the Isthmian Premier Division title.
