Agree uncertainty will allow other clubs to recruit our better players. What is needed is an appointment that will steady the ship, convince existing players to stay and attract the right sort of player. Failure to do this will see us struggle next season and investors walk away from the project?

I hope not. He failed to set the world alight at Leatherhead. We need to see the logical, sensible appointment of someone credible.

Listened again to Mel's comments after the defeat at Maidstone. Says he'll start working on next season now. I wonder what changed.

Good question! Was there a falling out with the brothers / investors over ?EastTerracer wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 5:05 pm Listened again to Mel's comments after the defeat at Maidstone. Says he'll start working on next season now. I wonder what changed.
If it was the 24/25 playing budget does that not sound good for the incoming manager and the quality of the squad?

It's not enough to know the club inside out though. You need loads of contacts, at both this level and in the football league lower divisions too.
Harper actually occurred to me earlier because he seems to have done a great job at Chertsey. He was a disaster with us last time though and I hope he isn't on our radar.

Not in my book! No experience at our current level.
If they are, then any statement about promotion is just hot air. It might be that the investors have come to this conclusion as to why the brothers are looking for more investors..
Who is appointed may well indicate which direction the club will be going next season.
