Agree, FACup prize money won’t make much difference. A couple of wins won’t add up to more than £10K. Getting some decent loans will be key to bolstering the squad.

No surprise there as we work through the contracted players. I think we can rate Ben as success in his short time with us. Always worked hard and scored a lot of penalties but perhaps not as many from free play as we might have hoped. I wonder if Jake Gray is feeling a bit lonely having decided to stay?

Ben is not from the area and travelled/ stayed over so not at all convenient for this level. Jake is more local so easier for him and obviously he is loyal to Alan. That said he must be wondering what he's let himself in for this season

I expect that's what Hampton fans are wondering too!

Re Seymour I noticed he mentioned Mel in his final goodbye. Think we all knew he was Mel’s player. At this rate we will soon not have enough players to field a team let alone 7 subs!
Will any of these savings been invested in a few more experienced players or will we continue to recruit from a couple of levels below with the result we all fear come next April. If I am right, how do we stop the free fall like Staines (although fortunately we don’t own the ground)!

Of those players left as unknown on the list , one would hope some will remain as we need them for their experience at our level. If we cannot keep all, my personal choice would be Anifowese, Dreyer, Revan, Thomas , possible Hunt and Dunne. I assume that Bloomfield will go.

We will probably end up keeping Alex Solomon and the Barnet keeper if we were to keep any.

Can’t see many staying otherwise it would have been announced by now ( if on contract). Some may be non contract and still in discussion or looking around for options.

Looking at the league next season with only two promoted teams there are several ‘big fish’ going for it. Perhaps a lot of other teams are looking to ensure mid table status and doing enough to avoid relegation. If you analyse player movement so far this summer there is a surprising number of step 3 players coming into the league coupled with player releases . Perhaps we too are following this trend?
What is needed a core of experienced players to achieve this, especially down what is described as the spine of the team.
