Thought we were looking for a centre back first. Maybe further loans to come? Anyway welcome to the young lad let’s hope he has an impact.

Sounds like he's been of interest to a few other clubs in the last few months so hopefully he's got the quality we need. According to my quick bit of research he's made one first team appearance for the Owls.

A little more info about the player, does not look that tall when alongside his manager!

Tony mentioned he thought we were also after a centre back. One must assume that Anderson has left and that Inman is going to be out for some time. Ruddick , although he appears on the team photo, has not featured this season so will be some way off match fitness. Gary might feel he needs Donaldson in midfield so the only experienced player is Wassmer.

From Gary’s comments looks like two more loans to be announced tomorrow and he also said there were a couple more he was looking at today. He said we have 7 players injured and a suspension. Plug for the 12th man fund.

Looks like the cupboard is fairly empty at present! Mark Finley is a busy man.

Another player in on loan for a month from Wealdstone. A midfield player Zach Dronfield. He looks like a defensive midfield player and is listed as around 6ft tall. Young player released by Norwich having been there since he was 9 . Seems his agent and Gary are old friends. Looks like our injuries list is getting longer!

This implies most of the squad are on contract and still get paid when not playing. That should really be reviewed , as a 12th man fund doesn't benefit the club long term, just fritters away money on players who come and go.
If improvements were made to the standard and quality of the academy and teams feeding into the first team, then during such an injury crisis would give quality youngsters a chance to break through.

I think even non contract players would be paid whilst out injured unless it was a very long term injury or there was some specific agreement that your pay dropped if not playing, either through injury or loss of form. Some clubs reduce payments if players do not turn up to training without a valid excuse but no idea if we operate such a system.

Must vary at different clubs then. I know clubs where players don't get paid if not in the match day squad. Some have different arrangements, as obviously want to keep players.
I even know one deal for a player where he would be paid more if he was on the bench, compared to when starting.
