It seems Billy is Bertie's (American-sounding) nephew and Bertie continues to have some back office media role.

Took a couple of mates with me to watch Hampton for the first time yesterday, as I quoted this would be a decent game "ouch"
I think this would have been a close call to calling this game off as the dugout side was a wet swamp reflected by many players loosing their footing on that side.
Truro adapted a long ball game with a no risk policy at the back, which mostly went long on first contact by a defender, whilst Hampton continued to battle along with our passing game under immense pressure most of the game from Truro!
The first goal was avoidable, silly free kick to give away, resulting in their headed goal from the free kick! 2nd goal was well executed but we gave the ball away to easily, pen I didn't see what happened for the pen to be awarded.
Some of our play in the final third was below par yesterday, players not holding the ball up, choosing a more difficult pass instead off a set for a shot when around the box, trying to run through to many players etc etc.
Maybe the Dorking game took a lot out of the team as a some players have played a lot of minutes this season without a rest or maybe Truro had the right game plan go long Wimbledon old school style and get around the ball our defence end on a heavy pitch yesterday.
Still in a great position in the league, lets hope for a new run to stay in around the play off contention.

Interesting comments from the manager about us notifying the officials at the end of the first half about the three substitutions we were making for the second half and the fourth official then sharing this information with the opposition who had the half time interval to adjust their tactics to deal with this. Irrespective of whether the information should have been shared it seems rather naive on our part. Surely you should only inform the officials of the changes to be made at the end of half-time?

I'm not sure Billy even looks like a Beaver. Perhaps his interest will be a passing fad rather like some other Americans.

Does this mean that the faulty drainage system on the dugout side was never repaired when the pitch was relaid or when the current pitch management company took over?

Billy the Beaver?

Looks exactly like Sandy the Squirrel from Spongebob Squarepants.

Wearing a kit with number 44 on - what is the relevance of that number? As must have some meaning behind it?
