No goals, no ideas, no fight. No hope.

Very sad to watch the side in its current state and perhaps no surprise that we got the hiding we did. You could almost guarantee the game was over once Merrick’s clearance cannoned off Ashe and into the net after 2 minutes. Vilhete actually had a couple of chances to reply but neither shot hit the target. And that was it pretty much for the afternoon. The players and manager must be thoroughly demoralised. It would probably help if the club could put out some communication about what is going on at least on the playing front. There would be few managers who would survive losing 12 out of 13 games but it seems as if Julian has been victim of the financial position having lost most of his senior players. With St Albans drawing with Dorking we are looking far too close to the last relegation position for comfort. I can’t really see us getting another point in the remaining games.

One of the most depressing games we have witnessed for some considerable time. The team looked demoralised depressed and lacking any confidence. We conceded a goal within two minutes and rarely looked like scoring especially as the game wore on. We were out muscled all over the pitch. The forwards are much too small to trouble defenders at this level. We are very short of strong defenders with Atkinson playing central defence which is not his position. The lack of height in defence was ruthlessly exposed and for Bath they could not had an easier game to ensure survival for this season.
It is clear that that any expensive players have been released or not played to save money, in addition the reduction in support staff.
As Tony commented it is very hard to see where any further points can be picked up the season, consequently we rely on others to drop points to give us a lifeline. Next Saturday we were hoping for the points to give us safety now that might turn out to be a six pointer for Welling.
No doubt the root of our troubles is the ownership issue , unless this is resolved with new investors and a more realistic playing budget today’s performance and result could be commonplace in 25/26! All supporters hope that this thought does not come to pass!

I don't think it matters much if the club get relegated this season as they will go down next season. Thanks for mike atkinson filling in but we are lacking in height and strength throughout the team but particularly at CB. Squad is woefully unbalanced with too many wide players that are similar in how they play. Whole thing is a mess.

Gray apparently unwell and Roberts ‘not selected’ for the squad according to post match comments. Sadly The manager seems to be clutching at straws. It was a feeble effort. Their keeper didn’t have anything to do all game, not one save.

Julian is trying to put a brave face on things and not be too harsh on the team. They are trying but lack the experience and physical strength needed for this standard of football. Hopefully Wiltshire will return next week to add some height to central defence. One correspondent rightly said we have so many wide players and others of similar stature.
Squad depth is poor with several positions over staffed and others woefully thin. Looking at Bath’s bench and the forwards available it shows the difference in the sides. “ Roberts not selected” is not on form but surely on financial grounds!

Cheers, I wasn’t there today but I’m a bit surprised it was that high. The slide down the table and the uncertainty behind the scenes isn’t having a obvious impact an attendances it seems

Agreed - I was guessing it was less than that although I think sometimes when it's sunny like today there are more people standing all round the ground and less in the main terrace which makes it more difficult to judge.
Recently though I would say attendances have been lower than we might expect - although maybe that cold Tuesday evening with 295 keeps sticking in my mind.
