I have tonight received some news regarding Martyn Edwards (Shepperton Supporter).
His wife, Val has advised that he suffered a massive stroke on Tuesday evening, he is very poorly and the next few days are critical. Good wishes and prayers are much appreciated at this time. When I receive any further information, I will update.

That's awful news, such a nice man, and Val is lovely too. If there's any way to send best wishes from Nick, Joe and Eric then that would be much appreciated.

Terrible news. Please pass on my best wishes to Val and Martyn at this time, if you are able. Hoping for some positive news soon.

Very sad news. Hope you start feeling better soon Shep.
I have received the following update from Val this afternoon:
‘We received a call late last night to say Martyn was getting drowsier and less responsive. They arranged another CT scan and suggested we may want to go up.
The CT scan showed that the clot buster hadn’t done the trick & there was a bleed on the brain. She described it as a “devastating stroke” and that the damage is very extensive.
We had a meeting with the consultant today who said it is a “grave situation” & ultimately Martyn is brain dead and very unlikely to recover. The decision has been to make him comfortable with palliative care.
Thank you all for your heartening messages which we have read to Martyn. Although unresponsive, we are sure he is still hearing us.’
