Hi all, I'm aware we have Horhsam tomorrow in the league however I wanted to start off a topic for our game on Saturday as I've just received an email from Leatherhead regarding tickets for our FA Trophy game! Their reply is below:
'Tickets will be available to purchase on the day and we take both cash and card but we are encouraging online purchases to avoid delays in queuing.'

So, after a decent result away to Horsham we go to Leatherhead in the Trophy tomorrow. What do people think about this one? If we play anything like Tuesday we ought to be OK. However, it's already been mentioned that some fringe players might get some game time, a ploy that often makes some supporters groan, especially in this competition, one in which we are in the upper echelons of and ought to be looking at for a decent run. It does beg the question of who these "players getting game time" might actually be, given our injury list.
Leatherhead themselves are comfortably top of their division and will be high in confidence and morale. I think this game could be a real potential banana skin if we don't get things right.
Thoughts?

With the forecast rain coupled with Leatherhead's location and the grounds propensity for flooding not hugely convinced we would see a game tomorrow.
Hopefully we get a game and put out a strong team to try and progress to the next round. Those trips to Southend and Hartlepool were thoroughly enjoyable so would be good to get that opportunity again.

That's what I always think. It's a cup we could realistically do quite well in, so let's give it a proper go.Tony wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 12:10 pm Agree, don't know why we don't put out our strongest team. It's not as if we are going to win the league.

Would like to see a strong squad just because there's nothing else to play for really (I assume we haven't entered the Middlesex Charity Cup?). But injuries and getting minutes into the new lads may dictate the squad to an extent.
The River Mole flows around Leatherhead's ground on two sides, it's well known for being a poor surface, hopefully the rain won't be too heavy overnight.

Is there an inspection planned?
I presume they can wait and see what happens overnight?

Leatherhead twitter/X seems to be saying the game is on.

There seems to be confusion over today's kickoff time BBC football says 3pm whereas Leatherhead twitter/X feed says three minutes past three?!

I believe all non-league matches are kicking off at 3:03pm today as part of the "3 Up" campaign, seeking to get 3 teams promoted from National League to EFL each year.Mucky knees wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 11:02 am There seems to be confusion over today's kickoff time BBC football says 3pm whereas Leatherhead twitter/X feed says three minutes past three?!

(Looking at it a bit more I think its all NL, NLS and NLN clubs that are changing the kick off time even if they are playing in the FA Trophy today.)
