I guess there will be mixed feelings in the Hampton camp about seeing Sam moving on. He's been a good servant over his various stints but increasingly lacked a major impact on games with very few goals or assists this past season. We need more creativity out of our midfield going forward and more pace.

We really should be thanking players who are departing before we find out that they have signed elsewhere ( unless this was a surprise to the club of course).

Thought Sam was an influential player with a lot of promise in his first spell with us but he didn't really build on that, (inevitably he'd probably have gone higher if he had) and last season had increasingly less effect on games. I'd wondered if he might have ended up with Julian at Slough, but perhaps he'll make more impact in the league below. Just had a look and Uxbridge had a fairly decent season by the look of it, not being too far away from the playoffs, when I thought they might even have been in the division below that.
