A fair bit of experience for Aldershot, seems to have been at quite a few clubs on loan throughout his career.

Richmond might sue you for that suggestion!

Seems like a player with a lot of experience at higher level. Definitely the type of player we need.

Some mixed reviews from Aldershot social media but I guess that is usually the case when players are released.

Also, people who aren't keen on Tommy will probably find it hard not to let that influence their opinion of Theo

I don't mind us signing a few players from Aldershot. They've already shown they can perform at the level above, and we've seen it work before. Dowse did the same when he went to Woking and took a fair few of our lads with him.
It should help us hit the ground running, as they'll already know how each other play and how the manager wants to play.

We have to remember that they did win the Trophy with some of these players just the season before last, which despite not being the competition it was (like most cups) is still no mean feat.

101 games at NL level so should have a decent pedigree . Aldershot cleared out virtually their whole squad when Scott Davies took over as they sought to reduce their playing budget by signing mostly younger step 2 players. We can but wait and see how the new team gels. Still only 13 players announced so we'll be playing spot the trialist on Saturday at Hanworth.

I'm fully suspecting he's probably gone but still no news of Kiernan, which would be a major loss, given that he was outstanding at times last season.

As is Ronan Silva who has departed to Horsham. 3 full seasons of a brand new squad. Admittedly after last seasons close shave, this was fairly necessary, but Kiernan I think needed for continuity and quality.

Partly forced on us by circumstance ( ownership issues/ funding/change of manager) but hardly helps create a bond with fans. As I said a long way back on this thread, did many of last season's squad deserve another chance given the flirtation with relegation? Only three of last season's squad retained, which, if deliberate, says a lot about how Dowse sees matters. With so little retention it doesn't matter much starting again with a clean slate of players. We can just hope that they perform and we can achieve some level of stability. Silva is probably one I might have retained but thought we never quite worked out his best position.
