THOSE WERE THE DAYS
5th July 2017

Pre-Season Friendly

Partick Thistle 0 HRBFC 0 (Behind closed doors)

HRBFC;-
First Half;-
Jonny Henly (triallist); Tom Jelley, Michael Kamara, Charlie Wassmer, Josh Casey, Sam Gallagher, Brendan Kiernan, Harry Crawford, Max Kretzschmar, Chinua Cole (triallist), Duncan Culley.

Second Half;-
Billy Bishop; Nathan Collier, Claudio Vilcu (triallist), Rian Bray (triallist), Chris Onupriou (triallist), Taurean Roberts (triallist), Shaun McAuley (triallist), Christian Jolley, Jerry Amoss (triallist), Adam Francis (triallist), Ryan Moss.

Partick Thistle were based at a training camp at Five Lakes Country Club in Essex. The original plan was to play a fixture at Beveree between the two teams. Unfortunately, Hampton’s pitch was not quite ready, so, the match was played, behind closed doors, at their base. Alan Dowson, Hampton’s manager, then, as now, was delighted with the discipline showed by the Beavers. Despite not having a lot of possession, Moss probably had the best chance of either team when he was unlucky to hit the post after a neat turn and shot. Several players impressed in this first friendly of the season, including a certain Kretzschmar who would spend the forthcoming season with the Beavers and returned to the club last season as Player/Coach.
