No surprise, but, to confirm, we have no Youth teams playing in the National League Under 19s, Isthmian Youth League or FA Development League. The last time this happened was the 1999/2000 season. That season, Hampton Rangers U18s entered the F A Youth Cup as HRBFC U18s. I have no idea of the result.

Is it the manager's decision alone as to whether we run a youth team? I would have thought not.

Could this be because the future intention is to play such games on the 'new' top pitch and that won't be ready in time ?

Any academy or Under 18 side would need to use the main pitch, the top pitch wouldn't have the requirements, or size, to play those sort of games on them.

I'd imagine that it would be used by the Youth Sections younger age groups as could cater for 5, 7 and 9 aside games as well as the FA's new fangled 3 aside games for Under 7s which starts in September.

3 a side, what's the point? May as well just kick a ball against a wall.
