Dagenham (away)
FT: 1-0. That was a lesson in taking your changes. We had so many opportunities and deserved a goal. Ashmore made some top saves but we were also wasteful at times. You can’t miss chances like that against Dagenham, and what’s more annoying is is the goal difference as so avoidable. Very frustrating as I feel like a point would've been fair, but the performance was so much better. Dagenham won’t be winning anything if they play like that.

Well, a 1-0 defeat but, dare I say it, we looked a little bit unlucky. We showed a lot more effort and with a little bit more luck, at least one of a couple of our shots might have crept in. On the other hand though, there is absolutely no excuse for "No Show" Silva's unforgivable headed miss. On that display, Dagenham won't win the league. Having said that, we looked a bit more organised and showed a bit more spine, so, at the risk of sounding like a post match manager's interview, there actually ARE some positives to take from that game...(for once!)

From reports and limited highlights, a much better performance. We had our chances and so did Dagenham. Underwood rather flapped at the long throw from which they scored. We have been poor at defending such balls all season and crosses generally. Their keeper, a much more experienced player altogether, made some good saves. Sho-Silva's miss was a bad one and just reinforces the view about his ability to convert chances.
Just seen the goal from the weekend.. dowson knows we need a keeper asap. He came up trumps with Dewhurst last season, we need someone of that level. The Fulham lad is nowhere near ready. God knows why he signed Nash also, never going to work, just the wrong build. God Dowse recruitment has really been poor in the summer.
