Looking at their signings, a mix of experience and youth. Slightly surprised that Adrian did not sign for us but Mel felt Mason was better value. Someone mentioned Ricketts from Boreham Wood , he signed as well .

A bit of a surprise to drop two steps as I am sure he could play at step 2. His lack of goals may have been the reason we didn’t pursue further.

Funny point was his only goal for us was that special effect against Dulwich which might have influenced them?

Why do people get surprised at players playing at a lower level.
Travel may suit them better, couple be less training,
could get really good financial offer,
and of course, buying into what the manager and club tell them for their plans.

There's some fantastic players at lower levels who could play step 2.

Not everyone is as bothered about playing the highest level possible.
