'Face-lift' for Beveree
At an estimated cost of £2,000, extensive improvements are to be made by Twickenham Council to Beveree, home to Hampton Football Club.
The work, which is due to be completed before the start of the next football season, involves provision of a single-storey building to include a kitchen, large room suitable for meetings and socials, but no chairs, tables, furniture or fittings are included.
The club, which has been given permission to have a bar provided a licence is granted, is to pay £150 a year more in rent and has had its lease extended until the 1971/72 season.
