Hampton were on a good run, four league wins on the trot, whilst Bognor hadn’t won in six. Despite the difference in form, it was the south coast side that looked more comfortable. It was no real surprise when in the 13th minute Sekaija headed in Swallow’s cross. Out of nothing Hampton equalised, Napa pressured a defender into making a poor back pass, Hudson-Odoi was on it in a flash and scored past the onrushing Dan Lincoln. Hampton were relieved to go in level at the interval. The turning point was the introduction of Kiernan in the 64th minute. Kiernan was lively casing Bognor to bring him down in the 80th minute and concede a penalty. Kretzschmar made no mistake netting his 10th goal of the season with a strike straight down the middle.

Always seemed as if Dowson saw Brendan as a bit of a luxury player, when in reality he was brilliant and we should probably have built the side around him.

From what I understand Brendan’s dad comes along to Beveree and his son is still unattached!
