White on dark blue normally provides good contrast for legibility. I suspect the issue here is that the typeface is not giving enough space between letters.

I've just gone on the Macclesfield website and their news item is a lot easier for me to read. This is because the background is white and not dark blue

More importantly the game is now ALL TICKET so if you know of people who don't necessarily have access to the internet and wouldn't be aware of this then please contact them to let them know.
