THOSE WERE THE DAYS
12th February 2019
Middlesex Charity Cup Quarter-Final
HRBFC 3 (Wellard, Joseph, Barrington) Hayes & Yeading United 0 Att; 103

Tom Lovelock; Tyrrell Miller-Rodney (Matty Wichelow, 62), Jack Connors, Roy Syla, Rian Bray, Oliver Sprague, Ryan Hill, Ricky Wellard, Zak Joseph (Joe Wootton, 75), Casey MacLaren (Nana Kyie, 70), Marcel Barrington.
Unused subs; Chris Dickson, Sam Cox

A curling free-kick from Wellard in the 25th minute got Hampton onto the score chart (the best goal of the game) and helped the Beavers into the Sem-Final of the Middlesex Charity Cup. MacLaren had been fouled on the right had side, giving Wellard the opportunity for hid fee-kick. MacLaren was also involved in the second, just before half-time, as his through ball put Joseph in the clear, Joseph rounded the keeper, Jack Smith, and fired into an empty net. Joseph was then the provider for the third and final goal with a little dink, Barrington adding the final touch into the bottom left corner. The win was the first in a month.
Hampton would go out of the competition in the semi-final losing out to Uxbridge, on penalties.
