A trip down south to a team currently in 17th place. We need a win to stay in touch with a playoff place, already there has developed a sizeable gap between us and the top of the playoffs places.
Will yet again depend on who is fit , Donaldson serves the last game of his suspension, but of the injuries I don’t know who will be available. Not having Seymour and Bloomfield has seen our goals scored dry up.
Weymouth away.

Agree about this evening, more dropped points and then two home games where in both points could be dropped. If recent form continues over these three games then playoffs might start to look a remote possibility.
The final play off place last season was 74 points. If that was to be replicated we will need 24 points from the remaining 15 games, 1.6 points per game. We are currently averaging 1.61 per game but only 0.66 in our last 6 games so need to get off that trend quickly.

Seems the game will not be available on National League TV tonight.
Only a few games at our level are available now. I assume it was cost prohibitive.EastTerracer wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 2:28 pm Seems the game will not be available on National League TV tonight.
Looks like we have signed a midfielder/winger on loan from Derby. Alex Gibson-Hammond

We seem to be getting young players from league clubs. Think many of us would like more experienced players, but it might be that at this time of the season these are the only loans that we can make.
Statistically the league clubs take on and release lots of youngsters, some of which find themselves at our level and thrive, hopefully one of these might do so for us.
After these next few games the likely end of this season might emerge and Mel might be contemplating who he needs to retain for 24/25. Last summer apart from the obvious striker requirements the majority of the squad Mel inherited were retained for the current season, one would expect more turnover this year especially if we go to full time.

New"Match Centre" features on the website for tonight:

Overall looks like a good innovation to me.
Although, as has been mentioned previously here, the font for the main text on the website is far from ideal. It looks like it's a font that is designed for headlines rather than body text. I think I am one of many who find the dense text uncomfortable to read. Perhaps the club could consult with the branding guidelines company and see if we can get a tweak approved...?
