Pitch looks perfectly playable from the various videos on twitter, poor decision from the officials. Marc White’s assessment is very fair.

Very poor from ref that they can't explain where the pitch is unplayable.

In his interview Mark made a couple of telling points. Firstly they had a few players missing so the postponement is not such a bad thing as they will be stronger next time. Secondly the postponed fixture being now played as a midweek game will not give Hampton the same level of income as a bank holiday fixture.
Looks like we have lost out on both counts.

SS those supporters who paid the admission charge prior to the match being called off. They might bother returning to the rearranged fixture???

Not always a case of bothering. Some will be working or away for work and will no doubt claim refunds.
