Now 3-0 down and Alex Wall has been sent off.

Finished 1-3. Not our day. Roll on Tuesday: good soup at Eastbourne.

Tough game today on softer pitch, we can still make the playoffs.
Good to see Bertie The Beaver in action today

Comprehensively outplayed today by a much stronger and quicker Truro side. We didn’t help ourselves either with mistakes leading to their three goals. Having given away a penalty, Wall then made things worse by getting a straight red for saying something to the ref. Williams earned a late consolation with a solo effort. Alan Julian clearly wasn’t happy with the lacklustre first half by making three half time subs with Wall, Evans and Taylor coming on for Roberts, Wiltshire and Campbell. It didn’t really change things which was much due to Truro who stuck rigorously to their game plan closing us down, winning the 50/50s and exploiting any errors. We stay 9th but now an eight point gap to seventh place.

Wondered if it was a second yellow or straight red. Potentially even seemed to move his head towards ref. Not sure we will see that on highlights though.

Very flat atmosphere again today which was a shame after an encouraging Tuesday evening (yes, the football wasn't as good, but the wider point still stands). My workmate came along today for the first time and found it boring off the pitch, isn't planning on coming back.

Perhaps the club (or the trust) should officially encourage a singing section, it shouldn't be over engineered, just need to encourage people to be in a certain place at 2.45pm and provide some flags and such like. Thank goodness there were some Truro fans today or it really would have been quiet.

Alex Wall was initially given a yellow then, I believe, a straight red for the head towards ref movement.

We didn’t really give the crowd much to get enthused about did we? Only two shots in the first half and not much more in the second. With Eastbourne coming up on Tuesday I would suggest we go “ back to basics” with Revan at CB, Taylor at RB and Campbell at LB. Maybe get Williams back in behind Vilhete. Not sure what we see in Evans but with Wall going to face a long suspension maybe try Babajide in the centre at some point. He seems a bit lost out wide at the moment.

I believe Bertie The Beaver was either sold or retired a month or so ago. That was new prospect, Billy The Beaver, in goal today. Still can't save a pen though...

Can’t add much to the comments already given. They pressed us high up the pitch that made it difficult to play out from the back. A tactic now being employed by most opponents. No much threat up front except from a well struck volley from Roberts early on saved by the keeper. Truro tackled hard all over the pitch and it shows why they are in the playoffs. Whether they are going to get promoted is questionable, there are some teams who might have the edge, time will tell.
Today probably shows us what it needs to get into the playoffs, currently we are not there, we have exceeded expectations this season, and if we can keep the majority of the squad plus a couple of additions then next season who knows?

They were just better, weren’t they? They were quicker, their movement more incisive, and their pressing was first class. Fair enough.

Mascots should not be renamed without fan involvement. Lets hope Bertie was reintroduced into the wild.
