Can’t believe we lost this! Then again perhaps we did not deserve to win or draw. It was noticeable from the start that our opponents were not going to press us as effectively as the top teams . We then proceeded to press the self-destruct button, first yet again a missed penalty, how that old fault has returned this season with the loss of Seymour! Then in a breakaway we allowed Johnson time and space to use his left foot to score , Worse was to come, two minutes later Page instead of passing back to Merrick tried to turn lost the ball giving the forward the easy opportunity to lob the ball back into the empty net. As has already been pointed out Atkinson in that position would not have made the mistake. Taylor got a great goal from a free kick just before half time.
The second half was mainly one way traffic, Chippenham defended well with several goal line clearances and so they recorded their first win at Beveree.
Must say, I was somewhat surprised in the team selection, having had some poor results against some of the stronger teams a stronger lineup to ensure a win would have been in my option . Understand that there is some squad rotation but, with hindsight , perhaps too much?
Nice to see Keeya have a run out after missing a few games and Gray back on the bench having missed several games. What struck me is we need a stronger focal point up front, this would be on my wish list for next season.

I have absolutely no idea what the manager sees in Page. Poor today and in his previous outings v spennymoor and chesham. He goes sideways and hasn't got the athleticism for this level. Atkinson or Hunt play and we win.

Chippenham already have their highlights up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzYaD-k7rSk
Don't suppose Jonathan Page will be tuning in...

Squad rotation is just code for the fact that the manager doesn't know what is best/strongest side is. At this stage of the season If he hasn't worked that out he never will. Still their is always next season for him to have another go!

That's clearly nonsense. Squad rotation is generally code for squad rotation. It's February, players have knocks, illnesses, fatigue and other things to contend with, so managers across the league are having to rotate their squads.

Exactly. This isn't the 1970s.
