Ah. Conceded almost straight away. Gave them far too much time in the area.

Why does the club tweet one week on the main account and another week on the match update account?
Can they stick to just one?
I noticed that, according to St Albans' Twitter, we were getting battered in the first 15 minutes. Does that maybe dictate which account they tweet on?

Well that’s 9 defeats in 10 games with Maidstone at home then Worthing away to come. On current form it does not look good. Several theories as to the sudden fall off , finance must be high on the agenda?

Our keeper was not great this evening, and had conceded 16 goals in 6 conf south games this season prior to tonight’s game!!
First half poor apart from a few players, second half pressed a lot higher, and looked ok. To score the equaliser and then concede a few mins later was a shocker, there scorer danced around 2 or maybe 3 attempted tackles in the box prior to sliding home.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the current bottom four remains the same, that said football can be a funny old game, one more win in the very near future would be very welcome.

Just got home. Dreadful performance against a poor side. No excuses. Didn't think it could get worse than Saturday but how wrong I was.
Plus on another point, how come Wall lasted the whole game against us (I think) when he's been mostly on our bench this season, which most thought might be due to fitness etc? Granted he didn't do that much tonight but he's an imposing presence who draws defenders out and is generally a handful.
Such a shame to be finishing the season like this. It really must be time for a statement from the club as to what is happening.

Absolute rubbish unfortunately, and an all too familiar story recently. Other than our goal and one other chance in the first half there was no danger of us scoring at all. The worst St Albans side in memory have taken maximum points from us. Not good enough. I maintain the opinion that we have enough points, and thank God we do, because unfortunately, bar Welling, I don't see us collecting any more wins. The rest of the season will fizzle out, we have to look to next season, as we have collected 0 points from the important 3 games mentioned on a previous thread, with out next 2 fixtures being Maidstone and Worthing. Will back Jules and the players every day of the week, but I think that the reality of the matter is that lots aren't good enough for the level. We've had our good run and now it's time for us to have a bad one, that's football and it's never nice to lose.
On the game itself. Wiltshire up front again didn't work, Diamond Edwards doesn't look up to much, and we looked more threatening, if only slightly, when Jalloh and Siziba came on at half time. Josh Keeya and Archy Taylor have played a lot of football this season and both are going through a bad patch. Kris Campbell leaving is appearing to be a more and more baffling decision as the days go by. It looked like a 4-3-3 with Atkinson slightly deeper than Keeya and Hunt. Williams needs to be deployed more centrally to make a difference, and having him on the left wing was ineffective.
Just a side note, Alex Wall lasted 90 minutes, something he was seemingly incapable of doing for us, not sure what the issue is there. He had no effect on the game whatsoever, and was completely immobile and a waste of a player for them. But somehow he ended up on the winning team. No idea what that's all about.
7 games left. Season over. Time to reset. Saturday is a massive test of character, and somewhat harshly, one I don't believe that we are up for. But I'll back the team, as will every Hampton Fan, and I'd have snapped your arm off to be in this position at the start of the season, and I think it is vitally important that we all remember that. Bring on Saturday!

Bath, Welling & Slough games looks like they could be huge. Need to get a result out of one of them surely. Think we will need at least another win to stay up.
Bath are currently in form so it’s really the Welling and Slough games and we don’t want to go Slough on the last day needing something. Although it’s a funny old game so likely to beat a Maidstone or Worthing out of nowhere!

The points raised by Hamptonlifer5 are very valid and echo many comments made by myself and others over recent weeks. The fact is that the current squad lacks experience and depth for reasons many of us are aware of. We have had a number of loans and with the exception of Byrd plus the keepers they have yet to impress. As Julian pointed out, it is a hard relentless league and some of the young players are physically and mentally exhausted.
Where do we go from here, on current form, results will continue to be bad , the only ones offering a respite the home games against Bath and Welling where three points should guarantee survival.of these Welling looks the best bet plus the Slough away who could be struggling for points on the last game of the season.
The prospects for next season then give cause for concern, lots of clubs in our league are signing up current players for 25/26, we have not, thus leaving us vulnerable to losing players to other teams. I suspect we are unclear as to our financial commitment for next season so are unable to put in the building blocks for then. There is no doubt the financial mistakes , the overspending on ego projects that were out of step with the club’s status and resources last season is having a far reaching effect currently and the current ownership is very restricting to redress this.
Worrying times are ahead, let’s hope for some good news!
