New owners
In the news article, Ben Hudson says “In the coming weeks, we’ll arrange opportunities for me, Alan, and representatives of the shareholders to meet with fans and the Supporters Trust. Together, we’ll prepare the club for a successful 2025-2026 season. For now, we ask for your continued support as we focus on finishing this season on a high.”
Hopefully this means we will get clarity on various issues supporters have addressed, the budget, James Roberts etc. All sounds positive!

Sure, I just don't see a good reason for withholding the names in the announcement, it feels odd. One thing we might hope for from the new ownership is a bit of basic transparency and communication with supporters, something that's been lacking in recent timesTony wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 12:02 pm I don't think we'll be that surprised who the new owners are. A little bit of Googling will tell you if you know where to look.

Well said Jim. This latter point really does need to be addressed ASAP.ChiswickJim wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 12:24 pmSure, I just don't see a good reason for withholding the names in the announcement, it feels odd. So the new owners are existing investors? Let's just hope that with the clowns gone the "new" owners will have a positive influence on the communication and culture of the club. My only concern is why they hadn't been able to do this before - was it because the clowns simply wouldn't listen or was it because they simply didn't see the need?
I think the management of the club (with the brothers moving into the background) has been very level-headed in the last 10 months working very successfully (up until recently) on a much-reduced but realistic budget. I am guessing the club has been completely starved of funds recently while this deal was being negotiated. It sounds like new funds are now available or coming in shortly so plans for next season can now be pulled together.
Hopefully we can do enough to stay up now. It would be such a shame if all the positives there have been from this season were overshadowed by relegation.

I believe Scott Forbes will “lead” the group of investors
Seems to make sense.BevereeMaster wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 2:24 pm I believe Scott Forbes will “lead” the group of investors
Looks like he set up a new company at the end of Feb with two other wealthy looking individuals so that might be a vehicle being used for this.

Scott Forbes may be feeling guilty for backing the clowns in the first place.BevereeMaster wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 2:24 pm I believe Scott Forbes will “lead” the group of investors

Are the other names existing shareholders?
Would think this new company may have brought the vaudeville shares both A and B categories.. This would give it them controlling interest. Think most of us are relieved this has taken place. Scott has a much more serious profile and that is good.publicly.
It will now depend on the structure both on and off the field. Off the field, wonder if Will might be reinstated?
The point about Alan Julian is possible but personally I would give him a chance with a more competitive budget. . Looking at this league mid table consolidation might be the best option, playing attractive football, improving home gates, better publicity and advertising revenue.
