Can't wait for the reports from people that were there.
Sounded like a backs to the wall effort.

Well my words have been well and truly eaten. What a performance that was, defended brilliantly when we needed to and took our goals so well. Grego-Cox’s for the second in particular was a screamer. If we play like that every week then we are going to surprise many. Massive well done to the whole team, a day like today is going to take some topping.

Incredible result but sometimes it happens. Not unlike the Salisbury game we had virtually no possession and a combination of great defending and poor finishing topped off with a bit of good fortune brought the three points. We set up with a true five at the back with Mason at left back. Silva was pushed up front with Rodari and Deadfield dropped to the bench. Jalloh came in on the left flank but lasted only two minutes before going off with what looked like a bad injury. Dorking had plenty of the ball but their final ball was lacking and what shots they had were usually off target. Against the run of play we took the lead when Silva broke through looking very offside but there was no flag and as he squared the ball towards Fasanmade the defender put through his own goal. After that it was basically attack against defence in until the 85th minute when sub Grego-Cox caught the keeper off his line for a superb long range lob. Grego-Cox then turned provider for fellow sub Rodari who ran through unopposed and finished low past the keeper. Prior to those goals we fought a real rear guard action worthy of a couple of Victoria Crosses with Paul- Lavaly, Massey and Holden all outstanding. In truth Dorking should have scored a hatful if they had showed more composure and better quality on their crossing. Our team spirit was great in defending an unexpected lead and this should do a lot for our confidence. However, we still need to find something more in midfield pending Ince appearing.

Fantastic win, and one that many will be stunned by. All credit to everyone involved but in truth it really was a bit of a smash and grab, even though we got our tactics bang on. Dorking were surprisingly wasteful up front whereas we had 4 chances and scored 3. Marc White doesn't give us that much credit (ok maybe a little bit defensively) but we were extremely resolute today, and really did show some stout defending at times.
If we can manage to keep playing like that then we'll not only surprise a few but should be safe.
We're 5th, having conceded zero goals...can we end the season now??

Interesting interview. He speaks for over 10 minutes blaming everyone but himself (who he thinks is great). 10 seconds of credit to the Beavers for outsmarting him and executing their plan to perfection.

We will no doubt have some tired bodies going into another tough away fixture at Maidstone so Alan Julian may need to dip into the squad for some fresh legs. Not seen much of Robertson so far apart from a couple of late sub appearances and nothing of Ollie Turner. Deadfield may come back in and Silva may drop deeper with Rodari or Grego-Cox returning to lead the line. I suspect we will have to do a lot of defending again and will rely on the counter.
