Another game full of drama at Beveree with the Beavers taking the 3-2 win after suffering incessant pressure for long periods. This has been the pattern in every game so far but somehow we come out with the points showing remarkable resilience and resolve. We raced into a 2-0 lead with goals from Alfie Tuck direct from a freekick and Davide Rodari with another good finish. Ebbsfleet had plenty of the ball throughout and pulled one back two minutes later after some poor defending from a long throw, Hessenthaler shooting through the crowded area after a half clearance. From that point on it was one way traffic as we dropped very deep and barely got out of our own half. Despite the pressure it took a mistake from Holden for Ebbsfleet to equalise, letting Chapman’s cross slip through his hands and just over the line (67 mins). It looked like there was only one winner with 25 mins left but against the odds sub Fasanmade was on hand to hook Field’s cross in from close range on 80 minutes. Ebbsfleet then had a goal disallowed in the 90 th minute for a handball from a corner. We held on after 6 additional minutes. Despite the very one sided possession stats there were some passages of play that suggested we had a passing game. But still need Ince to get in the side to see if we can get ourselves up the pitch and not rely so heavily on resolute defending.

Well I was certainly praying we'd hang on, but 25 ministers probably helped!

Another unreal result, and somehow we are third in the league, just below WSM and Hornchurch and just above Totton in one of the most unlikely looking top fours you’ll see. Yes it’s still early, and it probably won’t stay as it is now, but we’ve just got to enjoy these moments whilst they come. Full credit to Jules, the whole management team, and the squad, for continuing to prove myself and all of the doubters wrong. Roll on another “big” team in Torquay on Tuesday!

I thought we absolutely deserved that result today. My first league fixture after a summer spent in Cornwall and I was really pleased with what I saw. Really resilient, some excellent football played in the first thirty minutes, and against a team that spends so much they're over £15m in debt we did exactly what we needed to - take the early chances. Unsurprisingly they came back into it, but we stuck to the game plan, stayed in the match, and had enough to win it, with an excellently worked goal from Fasanmade. The difference between the Sutton PSF and today was incredible.

Amazing performance and result. i agree after the Sutton game where we are now is hard to believe. Still think we are riding our luck but full credit to the players and management.

Are we still riding our luck ? Maybe a bit but several similar performances suggests we are a resilient team who can convert our chances efficiently. Yesterday I thought we started really well and looked confident in possession. While there were plenty of spells when we didn't have much ball we are well organised in defense. We have developed massively since pre-season. The loanees like Paul-Lavaly and Tuck have added quality so certainly hope they stick around.

Nice to be able to see that the Ebbfleet disallowed 93rd minute goal was a very clear handball by Dallison - easy to see if you play it back in slow motion.

I see the media team has come up with a new thing which is the YouTube Watchalong re-edited with actual game footage - called the Re-watchalong.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBvjTMSEstQ 1 hour 43 mins of highlights from the Ebbsfleet match.

Great idea - must take quite a bit of effort to do. Great work from the team/those involved.
