Well that’s cheered me up no end. I really don’t buy that the lack of competitive home games is a valid excuse for the sort of performances we have seen. Quite what we do about it I am not really sure. At some point Dowse has to decide if the players he has signed are going to stop making the basic errors that seem to be undermining performances.

Was at the game (think we had about 10 away fans). While we played better than we did at Salisbury, the bar was really on the floor. Some fairly good moments but overall, very second best. The sloppy mistakes we made though were entirely unacceptable for players at this level. Need to do better or it'll be a very long season.

Who made the mistakes this time, any repeat offenders bar Rai?

De Haviland at fault for the 1st, with a poor touch straight to their man who played through us. Gaps between the midfield and defense are huge because teams keep exploiting us for poor mistakes meaning we are desperately susceptible to the counter. De Hav also at fault for probably the 3rd after being beaten and giving a lazy foul away. That being said their direct Free-Kick was brilliant. Widdrington gave away the free kick for the 2nd, and a taller goalkeeper claims the free kick whilst Nash was grasping and in nomansland, before the 2nd was headed in back post.

De Havilland has really been a disappointment in both games. He was captain at Maidenhead last year but they saw fit to let him go.

Players are always let go by bigger clubs for a reason. And lets be honest most clubs in our division are bigger than us.

Just watched the highlights, all looks a bit grim and although he looks a capable shot stopper, for me, I'm afraid Nash just doesn't look quite tall enough.

Second goal down to him. Can’t be out jumped by the attacker. Midfield still the bigger problem though.

Thought De Havilland and Rai were the most mistake prone. Hassan's crosses were generally quite poor as well, has a solid first touch though and dribbling ability. Just needs to pass the ball quicker. Mather looked decent after coming on. Jackson made a few mistakes as well. New lad looked alright in my opinion. Reece was very good at winning headers despite his height. I think Siziba and Mullins are must starts. Sho-Silva and Kretzch also had some good creativity I felt, which was most definitely not present at Salisbury. Theo Widdrington was also very poor and seems to be somewhat of a walking yellow card, this time getting booked for dissent.

Overall though, while clearly second best, there were definite improvements. I wouldn't say enough to be optimistic though ahead of Tuesday. A loss but I wouldn't go as far as to call it pathetic like I did last time.
