Are you sure this wasn't someone writing about the clown brothers?

Might as well have been a parody. But no, self penned by the brothers.

If the likes of Scott Forbes are at a game, why doesn't a supporter approach them to speak to them,
not to give abuse, or shout at them, but to speak calmly with them, and raise concerns, and have a conversation to ask the true plan, what they expect, why they don't engage with the fan base, and take on board views like name changes, club badge etc.
What is their aims, if they are looking to get out/sell.
Plenty of fans who could have a decent grown up conversation with them... worth a go surely?

Forbes is no longer a director of either the club or Ramayana so I wonder just how close he is to the matter, or at least claim not to be. I would expect that the club chairman will have as much knowledge of the general direction of any behind the scenes discussions but again may not have any direct involvement. There will no doubt be confidentiality agreements to respect. Beyond saying that the shareholders are looking for more investment ( which may or may not involve a sale of the club) then I doubt more detailed information will be forthcoming until something more concrete emerges. The comments in the Linked post suggest that any current discussions are proving difficult.

How did everyone celebrate the victory over Eastbourne? In another LinkedIn update, Rafa says he jumped out of a plane to celebrate:
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/ur ... 704961024/
"...A story of David and Goliath where despite going 0 - 1 at half time, the Beavers fought back and took all 3 points, never giving up, defeating one of the top funded clubs in the league.
How to celebrate? Jumping out of a plane of course."
I would have thought just actually attending the match would have been a better idea...
(It's possible I'm wrong but I saw no sign of him at the Bev on Tuesday evening.)

To be fair jumping out of a plane would be much better. As long as no parachute is involved obviously!

That would be a much better Movember challenge than burping (or whatever he's doing). I'd sponsor that.

The brothers continue to dig at 'old school fans' in the latest LinkedIn missive. This time for now liking pizza. Not sure if this is backed up by actual data to support the claimed dietary turnaround.
Or perhaps it's just the entire supply of chips is on the brothers shoulders
Perhaps more interesting is the claim that the 'hard pivot' in May i.e. adjustment to having much more limited budget was caused by 'promised funds' not materialising.

Sounds interesting but when I visit LinkedIn it just says the post cannot be displayed. Is the post still there?
If so can you copy and paste it here?
Thanks

Record-breaking day for Hampton & Richmond FC!
A couple of weeks back, despite not getting the on-pitch result against Torquay, the Beavers smashed their highest-ever grossing matchday revenue! Off the pitch, the team took things to a whole new level.
Starting from a hard pivot in May when promised funds didn’t materialise, we’ve turned frugality into innovation. With one of the lowest budgets in the league, we’ve racked up four consecutive wins and moved forward in the FA Trophy!
How did we do it?
1. Leadership: Chairman Ben Hudson, FCIPD Hudson and manager Alan Julian forged a renewed ‘warrior’ culture. Behind the scenes, Amelia Thompson delivered exceptional matchday experiences, always pushing for those marginal gains.
2. Media Magic: Mark George keeps innovating across all channels. They’ve even started predicting ticket pre-sales based on their content!
3. Seamless Ticketing: With Fanbase (Techstars Sports ‘24) technology, online purchases are a breeze, speeding up turnstiles—no cash, no hassle.
4. Food & Beverage Revolution: Over 5 bars and more than 3 food choices. Those pizzas the old-school fans joked about? They can’t get enough now!
5. Fan Engagement: The ops team keeps the energy high with activities for youths and fans, adding entertainment value even when the score isn’t in our favor.
The takeaway? Innovate with what you have. It’s easy to complain when resources are thin, but true success and leadership comes from adapting, improvising, and overcoming obstacles.
Very proud of the team huge congratulations to the ones that made it happen!
Thanks

Perhaps these business geniuses don't realise this success is primarily driven by Torquay's large away following and that they need to keep the 'old-school fans' onside for those cold Tuesday nights.

'Promised Funds' = Investors not wishing to continue throwing in to the endless money pit that had been created by these 'innovative disruptors'

I wonder quite what happened with the "promised funds". My guess is that it was some sort of falling out with Scott Forbes who seemed to head up the investor syndicate. I suppose missing out on the playoffs may have been an issue for investing further funds but it seems like the problem actually arose a little before that - so possibly it was just a personal falling out.
