It's almost never a good sign is it? It's partly the chronic over reliance on loan players from pro club academies, which isn't just us, it seems to be huge throughout almost all of non-league. When Gary McCann joined us, in one of his first interviews he clearly stated that he wouldn't be using the loan system, yet once the season started we were suddenly using it. What changed?
Lots of players who are actually signed seem to make a few sub appearances and then move on. We've also had a number this season who were signed from clubs in leagues below, who ended up being loaned out, or loaned back to where they were signed from. The turnover is huge and must make training a bizarre affair.

What, as in numbers or successful players? I'd agree to a point, and those were all great, but Dowson used loan players to a huge degree.
